Dog Stink?

I have the job of cleaning and decorating a house which, no matter what I do still stinks of dogs etc ?

The premises used to have a puppy breeding enterprise, the bitches (20 or so) were always whelped in the house, and the puppies reared there in. The kitchen walls (granite) have been steam cleaned and the concrete floors scrubbed several times, the pantry scrubbed, likewise the back hall. All still pongy?

The rest of the house is not quite so bad, but any ideas for getting the wooden floors dog pong free?

Scrub everything with biological laundry detergent.

What about jeyes fluid thats used to clean stables?

I wouldn't use jeyes fluid unless you want the house to smell like a nasty gents public toilet. I'm not sure what the answer is but jeyes isn't it.

Is bicarb of soda any good? That's known for eliminating smells I think.

PS just did a quick search. White vinegar diluted with water or use baking soda sprinkled over the floor & leave at least 24 hours then sweep up

You need an enzyme cleaner. You should be able to find it at any pet store.

Does it have enzymes??

Going to try the vinegar and water on the wooden floors, I'll let you know.

Washing powder does contain enzymes, well the bio one does.
