Doggy Coats Do your wear them

Hi CC

Would you recommend I dont get one for her then, she shivers when she comes in does she need to just harden up? She is one of the most mardly clingy dogs I have ever met(suppose this is to do with me treating her like a princess I recon) I just wondered if she would be better with a raincoat one

Thanks :)

If she feels the cold then yes, but I had a GSD once who used to lay outside in the rain and rest his head on the dog door opening watching us inside, he didn't care two hoots, so depends on the dog really. His mum was chained outside the barn where I kept my horse at the time and couldn't resist when she had pups, unfortunately it was her one and only litter and she died soon after, I don't think she was fed and looked after properly whilst carrying them and after, she had 9 big pups, mine was the runt but turned out to be one of the biggest as they grew, unfortunately he had an enlarged heart and spleen I knew nothing about and he died aged 6 and half, I just thought he was hot inside with his big coat, little did I know the panting was a sign of a heart problem, anyway sorry for depressing your thread, but something to look out for

Thanks NG, he'll be eight months on Sunday, I want my little cute fluffy wuffy floppy puppy back :( :p

Three Peaks is the P@H range. My older dog hates the heat as well. Much prefers to be outside.

Have just ordered my dog a Danish design 2 in 1 coat (waterproof outer with a removable polar fleece inner) and then I'm buying her a weatherbeeta stripy fleece too so she'll have two fleeces and a waterproof for when it's very cold!!!! What can I say xx
