I assume there is no "part bred" register with the KC, like there is with horses?
But....are there classes for obvious pedigree dogs that have no papers? I'm assuming the answer is no, as this is the whole point of The Kennel Club's existence.
I've had it mentioned to me several times already that Harvey has wonderful bone, a very nice head and would do well showing. Problem is, he's not KC registered. Mum is KC registered, dad has his papers but was was never registered. Now, I'm not normally particularly bothered about showing but have been quite flattered by some of the wonderful comments. When I tell people he's not KC registered they "sigh" and say it's such a shame, given how nice he is and I should be out showing him...but....obviously I can't show him can I?
I presume the only classes available to us would be at local village shows and the like? Waggiest dog classes etc? Unless we opt for obedience classes......but let's face it, he's a Spangle so that's unlikely to prove successful.
