Hello all!
Just an update really, and wanted to start my own donkey thread so i can sort of have my own diary on 'Eddie's life!
Some of you may remember last year, my donkey yearling was scanned in foal, as the pregnancy was so late, it was risky to abort the pregnancy, so with alot of advice from friends, vets and some people on here! She had a healthy colt foal!
We were worried as she was so young she would just leave him, or not produce ebough milk, but everything went smoothly and she was/ is a fantastic mum!
That was back in july, eddie is now 6months old, and if some of you remember my previous thread, we are currently trying natural weaning, currently P is having a feed once a day, just something extra over the winter, so she is coming in once a day to have her food and a groom etc.. While eddie waits in the field, this has gone really well, other than a little calling to start with its been fine, P couldnt care less as long as she has food infront of her and getting a groom, and eddie just waits patiently by the gate!
Anyway, here are a few pictures of them, the first few will be from when he was first born, and the others are of varying ages, i'll try and put them in order!
Sorry for the pic overload!
