So it had been all go in Doodle land with hacking, beach rides, mounted games (even jumping occured
) until she developed an absolutely enormous haematoma on her butt
! Vet came out, stuck a needle in and confirmed that lumpybutt was indeed a haematoma rather than an abscess and said to just let her walk it off, which thankfully after a couple of days seems to have done the trick.
Whilst Mr. Vet was there we re-tested her Cushings levels to see where we are and unfortunately she is still high at about 67
, so we've upped her to 1.5 tablets a day and dare I say it but she seems less footy on the stones
. So we're re-testing again in 6-8 weeks and fingers crossed her levels have come down again!
Anyway hoof pictures time
:
Near fore:
Weird inside egde is getting less weird!
Plus no more kinky lines
Offside fore:
So asides from her frogs remaining resolutely off the ground! I think she's doing ok, and to me her feet look 100x stronger and healthier than what we started with at the beginning of the year
