If money was no object- yes I would pay it.
But for me it wouldn't be a 6 year old, it would be a 13 yo schoolmaster or similar who could show me the ropes and that I can learn on rather than vice versa.
And ditto what GG said, a good, reputable producer would, in most cases, not sell to any old Tom, Dick or Harry. It would take a certain and good type of rider to be able to ride and bring out the best in the horse in question IMO and I am sure the producers are well aware of this. Unless desperate to flog, they wouldn't need to sell to just anyone and could afford to wait for the right buyer and with top competition horses, there are always willing buyers!
