In a moment of wine-fuelled insanity on Friday night I put in a late entry for Radway dressag today. Decided to put Mustard in the prelim 12 and Moon in the novice 30.
Got up stupidly early for a Sunday and trundled off with the two of them looking really quite scruffy. I knew it would be dreadful because they are totally inseperable and incapable of behaving sensibly when left without each other!!

As predicted, Moon kicked up a fuss when I took Mustard out and it was very embarrassing that they were calling to each other the whole time during the warm up and my test

Mustard was actually very good, very settled and willing. He was totally baffeld with the idea of doing dressage where previously he swears we did fun jumping!! He was looking all over the place but he's great because he isnt spooky or tense so I think he'll come on nicely. It was a little unfair on him as he his schooling has been abandoned recently and he isnt working into a consistant contact yet but he did everything in the right places and did some nice bits. Got 56.4% and that didnt leave us last. Yay!!

Then a really quick change over to Moon as I didnt have much time. Warmed her up for 10 mins and she felt good. Did a really nice test, novice 30 is quite hard for her as it seemes to include everything she's worst at but she suprised me by getting 7s in the bits I thought she'd find hard and 5s in the easy walk work (not quite sure why, she normally scores well for her walk.....)
Finished with 61.5% so fairly ok. We did come 4th as well (but I'm not telling you how many it was out of

So good day really, I doubt I'll have to take them anywhere together again in the near future.

I'm worried about myself!

Only 3 weeks till I can go cross country again- that'll cure me!!

Well done Boss! I can't believe Moon got a 5 for her walk. I was watching her the other day thinking how fantastic her free walk was. Judge must be blind. Yaaayyy for Mustard!

Thankyou!

Yes it was bizarre- she has a very relaxed walk with a good over-track generally but she said it wasnt stepping through enough. Never mind, in the grand scheme of things it rally doesnt matter!

Hey, I didnt realise you were there today

Only when FMC told me.
Im pretty sure from what ive seen of Ms Moon that her walk is good...

It was a very last-minute decision!!

I've entered them both for the Isis dr group show at Hill Farm as it's just down the road but I think theyre quite full so shall phone them tomorrow and maybe enter Addington if they cant have me. I'm loathed to pay Addington's prices though!!

Well done.

Willough is a nightmare when we take 2 out, but only when left at the lorry, she will go off on her own quite happily.
Floss had a nappy thought in her XC on Sat when the course ran through the lorry park then turned away.

I'm afraid that is an Oppositon trait- we have to be a bit careful with Odin as he can sometimes set his jaw and veer off to where he wants to go!!
Moon hasnt tried that with me yet but she can be a nappy little baggage is she wants to be!!
