I posted here a few months ago about riding opportunities in East London...I had just moved back to London after a year away, and was looking for some suggestions.

Everyone here was very helpful (I tried out Lee Valley, and while there was nothing wrong with it, I just needed access to more advanced horses) so thought I would give it another try!

My circumstances have changed slightly, and I am now living in North (east) London and I have access to a car, which makes it much easier to get out and about, so I'm not limited to public transport.

SO, I'm now wondering if anyone has suggestions for dressage trainers in the Herts/Essex borders area? I'd also be looking for a horse to share in that area as well, so if anyone knows of anyone looking for an experienced dressage rider, let me know!

Any help would be most appreciated - feel free to email me on jcarlin28@gmail.com if you don't want to post on the board.

Dont know of anyone looking for a sharer, but trainers wise can recommend Paul Hayler who is west of chelmsford. Mark Ruddock also comes up our way quite regularly to threshers and norton heath.

I'm in the exact same situation, actually. Currently at Lee Valley but only long enough to find a decent quality horse for share. So much harder to find near London than I ever imagined!

Might be after a share for my new mare in south herts if interested. Let me know what you're after, riding level etc.

Where in South Herts? Accessibility is unfortunately a big thing for me. :(

I'm an Eventer but what I'm looking for depends on the situation!

In a perfect world, I'd find a tall(16+), sensitive type ride with quality gaits, but in reality I just want something to work with. Don't mind young/green if they have a good head on their shoulders. Would much prefer a forward/hot ride to a plunky one, partly because I can only ride 2-3 times a week and I don't have the fitness level to package big, stiff lazy horses together, but also because I just am used to riding horses with an engine and I'm a lot more relaxed on that type of mount.
