What to wear?! I have tweed jacket and wondered if i can wear a colored stock. Cob will be hogged wearing hunter bridle and hopefully black Dressage saddle. She has an off white square. will if look out of place wearing tweed with horsey Dressage attire?! Normally do showing classes not done Dressage for ages!
Or could wear navy jacket white stock which my look better
Thoughts :)

I wouldnt wear tweed for dressage, I think dark jackets (plain navy, black) and white stocks are correct :)

Tweed is perfectly correct for lower level dressage, either with a shirt and tie or coloured stock, just as its fine to wear a dark jacket with a white stock.
As has been said tho you'll be in your shirt sleeves in this weather!

Either will be fine. I competed up to elem affiliated in tweed before deciding I wanted a blue jacket. So wear whatever you prefer :)

I'll be in tweed with a coloured stock this weekend for our riding club dressage as my black jacket is miles too big now and looks stupid!

I wear tweed and for lower levels it is perfectly acceptable but at the moment most places are allowing shirts to be worn as long as you have either long or short sleeves.

TBH either's ok, but you might be hot in this weather. I must admit i warm up in just a shirt then on my way in to do test i always put my jacket on, its only for 4 mins and i think it looks smart and shows respect to the judge who will be sweltering sat in his/her car or box.
Good luck.

I was worried about this when I recently did a dressage test in a tweed and tie - everyone else was in black or navy jackets, But in fact I got a comment on how nicely turned out I was so I can't have been that wrong. Also came second so judge was not simply scraping the barrel for something nice to say <wink>.

I wear both (obviously not at the same time!)

My tweed is quite thick so it's good for winter dressage. And I think it looks quite smart too!

I compete in tweed in all my dressage classes (to novice) and been to many different venues- no one has ever said anything about not being in navy/black!

The dressage is a week on Sunday and apparently its going to cool down, i think i will go for my navy jacket then, its smart and makes a nice change from tweed :)

So for me its:
White stock
Navy velvet hat
Navy jacket
Light gloves
Cream jods
Black boots

Cob its
Black bridle hunter style-although i have got a gorgeous sparkly browband i would like to use but not sure yet..........:p it may look daft on the cob! thoughts?!
Dressage saddle with Cream/off white square

Are myler hanging cheeks legal?
And am i right in thinking a schooling whip is allowed?

Its only been a while since last test but am getting confused with the showing classes i have been doing!

Thanks :)
