I would like to hear if anyone else has had problems dealing with the company.
I purchased a pair of the GALWAY boots for my daughter at Bramham in 2008 and because she liked them so much I decided to buy myself a pair. I got them in February this year from a climbing and outdoor shop in Clitheroe, paying £225.
Last week I noticed that the sole on one boot is coming away from the boot an area of about 1inch is effected.
I telephoned the number given on the Dubarry website, the girl I spoke to was 'curt' and told me to return the boots to the shop. She was no help whatsoever other than that. She did say that I would need proof of purchase?? well as I expected the boots to last a site longer than 9 months I didn't keep the receipt.
I have lots of good quality outdoor boots including walking boots that are ten years old and which are still in good condition, they cost about £40!.. My riding / show boots are at least 6 years old, no trouble there.
I am really angry that Dubarry do not offer to take back faulty goods.
For £225 or as now £250! I would expect these boots to last longer than one summer.
