What's everyone got planned? Weather looks promising here, sunny but not too boiling. Fingers crossed ;)

Newbie Darcy has vet today for teeth, hoping they won't be too awful and then we can start to crack on a little bit. I haven't been wanting to do too much with a bridle on until they've been checked out.

Kira has a lesson tomorrow, been struggling a bit to do the homework towards the GP zigzag in a short arena but I'm hoping it will fall into place in the long one

Off to Hartpury Festival of Dressage on Sat thanks to a v kind HHOer, won't be billy no mates this year :D
Expecting to get roped into haymaking again at some point since I didn't break anything last weekend.
Show on Tuesday, inter1 at a new venue... questioning the sense of that now but we can only try. Hoping the motorway won't be all snarled up this time

Have fun everyone!

I hope everyone has a fun weekend!

We have a dressage comp on Saturday, doing two prelim tests. Not riding until 12 so it's going to be a nice easy morning.

On Sunday we are going combined training. Very busy but I am looking forward to it. Hoping that all the extra time in the dressage arena helps us out!

Tomorrow I am taking the day off work and doing a 6 hour round trip to go with my friend to pick up her new horse after she sadly lost her lovely mare of a lifetime earlier this year - bitter sweet but I am so happy and excited for her that she's found such an amazing horse to continue with.

Saturday I'm off to Barbury horse trials (only spectating obviously!) and Sunday probably just hacking and keeping up with the rest of Barbury.

Good luck to everyone competing :)

A trip to Dorset with Tamba for another endurance ride. I think it's about 35km so will be lovely I hope!! He went very well the other day although I'm currently trying to persuade myself to ride as it's boiling!! Won't make much odds if I'm honest as he is plenty fit enough. Hopefully doing some gallops training on Saturday with Winnie, although I don't finish until 5 so will be tight!!

Not much for us, still trying to nurse my thumb although it is now feeling a lot better.

Schooling and hacking :) his walk lateral work has improved 10 fold which has started to help the cadence of his stride so will start to do the same in trot now. We are also working on his balance so that he offers roundness rather than me trying to shape him too much, this gives such a lovely feeling and is working well in the walk but is easily lost so more of that too

I'm working all weekend so my outing was today.

Two tests a Fieldhouse. Aim was to get an area festival sheet. Got two. So that's her gone from never done BD to area festival qualified in 3 outings over 6 weeks

I may not be alive by area festival time though as I'm taking Eddie xc schooling tomorrow....

Well done Crazymare!

climbing futtock shrouds to the flemish horse.

No idea what this means but enjoy it!!

Good luck everyone out schooling/hacking/competing.

Non-horsey weekend for me. Its the girls' birthday and various family members are over from Hong Kong and Australia so we are meeting up in London for the weekend. As a birthday treat, I am surprising the girls with a trip to the West End to see Waitress which I know they will love. The others are all going to the Churchill War Rooms which is where the girls think they are going too! They are doing a very good job of pretending to be enthusiastic about it :D:D

Good luck everyone out and about and well done Crazy Pony 😁 great pic too, wish mine were that photogenic!

I'm slumming it off work today and tomorrow so am cramming all appointments into these two days. Have jabs for the mares plus Arty's teeth tomorrow so will be a quietish day horse-wise, probably just some in hand work in the evening. Then up north seeing friend on Saturday, and on Sunday might take one of the missfits out hacking somewhere new or to arena hire to celebrate lorry passing mot today and having its service tomorrow

Have fun everyone!

Just realised that I follow you on insta. Well done on your results!

cobbus had his saddle fitted last friday and his teeth done on monday so it is all systems go.

We have a lesson on saturday morning, going to work on his trot, his walk and canter are fantastic but his trot whilst very polite and round is lack luster and in need of gaining expression and power (he is welsh, big powerful trot needed in the show ring).
Saturday afternoon we have a yard BBQ,
Sunday we are at a show so will be up early to bath pony

The most exciting thing for me this weekend is my car getting the air con fixed tomorrow... Fingers crossed it just needs re-gassed and isn't actually buggered!

Otherwise, hacking, playing ponies, that kind of thing. Might try and do some archery from Skye in the big field if I can get some bales out as a target :D

Good luck everyone competing, and playing with new ponies MP ;)

And enjoy your trips AE, pipitty, and Lexi...

It's school holidays now here and we've had a busy week, starting with a fabulous xc schooling session, a couple of day trips out to see friends, and ending with three days of PC camp. Day one is over, and hubby and I are already wrecked lol...

Two days to go...
