The epi centre was Market Rasen in Lincolnshire.

I live further south in Lincs, near Sleaford, and it woke me and OH up. The kids didn't wake though.

It was scary!

I am in Lancashire... I thought I was still asleep and dreaming at first because it seemed to go on and on, but I obviously wasn't

It was a loud rumble for us, and the house felt as though it was vibrating!

Felt it in Warwickshire. There was a loud rushing noise and then the whole house seemed to move !!! Scary.

I got woken up. The roof was creeking and my wind chimes on the window were moving. Checked on news 24 but nothing came on so went back to sleep. Felt the Birmingham one couple of years ago and 2 summers ago when we went to Kefelonia there was one - this was definately bigger

i live about 12 miles south west of market rasen and it woke me up and shook the whole house, my sister lives just outside market rasen and she screamed!

My eldest was just going to bed, she went into a mad panick, prancing around the landing, screaching there had been an earthquake. (shes mad

It also woke my youngest up.

So the noise I heard may not have been a plane flying over as I thought while still half asleep

Woke the dog and myself up, but parents slept through it........ Wollaton, Notts...

Also was felt at OH house, woke all of them up - Mapperley, Notts.

And yes it was scary........

I'm near Lancaster in Lancashire, it woke me up because the bed was shaking. Just realised that I hear a loud sort of rushing noise as well but had put it down to the wind! Must have been well scary for those nearer the epicentre!

Woke us up - nr Holbeach, South Lincs - we are in the process of doing up the kitchen and all the tools are in the hallway - everything was rattling for about 15 seconds and you could feel the bed moving

woke me up nd im in derbyshire! woundered what the hell it ws, was attacked by DVDS fallin off the shelf above ma bed! not very well this morin im sat in bed, throwin up etc. still worring bout ma sis who i aint herd from yet, and she is down in lincoln cause she goes to the uni!

I'm near Lutterworth in Leicestershire & it woke me up with Bed shaking & a loud rushing sound!

I fell back asleep though immediately!

I'm at Brackenhurst Uni in Southwell, notts and I though the room was gonna come down it shook that bad! To begin with thought i'd had one too many glasses of wine and then the whole campus was running round going "did u feel that did u feel that"

Another who felt it at Brack, but it hit home in West Yorkshire.
However I was told the point of it came from Kingston upon Hull which isn't that far from home (by how the crow flys).
At first I just thought it was people being far too loud upstairs but then the walls started to shake!

Yes it was felt in Notts - having lived in LA I knew immediatley what it was, hubby rolled over and went back to sleep while I paced for a while (hate them) Bumble Dog and my son did not even move.

Interestingly neither Donkey or Cloughie had eaten much haylage and when I went to the vets this morning two other peoples horses had hardly touched theirs either.
