eBay your thoughts ?

Was looking at buying some rubber mats for my stables off eBay. Why thickness is the best and would they need glueing down ? Are they any good off eBay ??

Hope you get some replies, I have been 'surfing' looking for mats and costs and like you wonder about thickness etc.

Also if they are a trip hazzard in doorways unless stuck down.

I got my mats off eBay several years ago .. as with most horsey things I found the most expensive i could afford to be the best. Mine are 18mm heavy rubber and they stay put without being glued, bonus being I take them with me when moving yard s or stables.
My old YO bought some cheaper ones at the same time I bought mine but they were too thin and lightweight - they scooted round all over the place

The lady in thestable next to mine bought mats on ebay recently, good quality heavy mats and fast delivery, but she paid nearly as much for delivery as she did the mats

I looked for ages and contacted a couple of sellers on ebay, trouble is the delivery pushes the price sky high. Ended up getting them from Countrywide Stores. I was lucky as on the day I went they had an offer which worked out I got one free. They are 6x4 and 17mm depth. V heavy and dont move around and I dont think they charge delivery for orders over £100.

They are not heavy, but because they interlock they don't move when madam has a tantrum round her stable. They are easy to clean, move and seem nice and warm.

Dont get anything below 18mm, it isnt long lasting enough below that.

I got my EVA 32mm easimats from ebay and they were £270 inc delivery for 6. They're 6ft x 46ft and billiant. Not moved and would highly reccomend. Can't remember who was selliing them tho! Sorry! X
