I'm in the area of the recent outbreaks, although on a yard which has not hunted, nor have any of the horses on the yard hunted (or indeed even left the yard in the last 10 days)....
We're entered for various competitions over the weekend and I'm concerned that the EHV-1 outbreak is still a risk.
Does anyone know whether there have been any cases which are NOT directly linked to the hunt? i.e. has there already been a spread beyond those which have been in direct contact themselves with the hunt horses?
I don't want to be melodramatic and remain on shut down indefinitely, but I also don't want to risk the horses if there are other cases which would indicate the 14 day shut down for hunting yards hasn't actually contained the disease...
Aarrrgggghhhhh!
