Electric collar ban

I used to use a gencon and now have a Cosypet fleece lined headcollar which is the same design but slightly wider and she is happier in it though rarely used now. As I said above she doesn't rub it but is a little shut down, I suppose you could say she was just respecting it. I like the fact the action comes from behind the neck rather than turning the head like some headcollars.

Is it this one? Cosy dog?

Ridiculous statement. I imagine the owners who let their dogs get amongst sheep arent the ones to use electric collars anyway! Electric collars have absolutely no place around animals whatsoever. We would be horrified if people use electric collars on horses so why do people think its acceptable on a dog. People just need to keep their dogs on leads when outwith their own garden!
There is plenty of middle ground between never going off lead and an electric collar.
And we do electrocute horses to make them behave. Electric fences?

According to this link they are useful for service dogs

An e-collar is one of the most effective tools for dogs who undergo basic to advance behavioral training. But more than just basic obedience, e-collars (also known as dog shock collars or remote training collars) are also an advanced way to train police dogs or what we know as K-9 dogs.

Oh, come on, Birker, That's a US site selling - guess what? What do you think they're going to say?

It is scary that they are used for everyday training, mine got used once and has sat in the box since and that's about ten years it's sat in that box.it massively improved the dogs quality of life it was used in and all other options had failed.
