I am confused! At the moment I use a Gallagher S16 energiser on a 1.5 acre paddock, but I'm due to move field and want to make sure it's really really secure with the electric fence.
I've read the output joule should ideally be 0.5 to 1 joule for horses, but the Gallagher solar energiser all seem to be under that, or am I understanding it wrong.
I'm going to need to secure a 3 acre boundary with double tape. I'll use my S16 for shorter internal fences, but would like advice on a suitable energiser for the boundary fence please. Ideally solar as there is no mains electricity and I could do without having to lift heavy batteries. Thanks
