Hiya not sure if I want advice, reassurance or just to get it off my chest but as some people would know we've had varying problems with my young gelding rodeoing when you do any kind of girth up and not moving at all under saddle. Well we've had the vet out as we suspected ulcers the vet after seeing him with a roller done up was very impressed a horse could leap about like that so has referred him for a scope. What has completely thrown me is she's concerned that there could be an orthopaedic problem as he's not crossing his legs over properly when he turns or moving off quite right but he's not obviously lame. I wasn't expecting this at all as he's always been quite a gangly clumsy youngster. So on Tuesday he is off to Newmarket for his scope and then Wednesday they'll decide if to go ahead with the full bone scan. I'm so anxious about leaving him there and the not knowing what's going to happen next. :(

No advice or reassurance to offer but bets of luck getting through the next few days. Vet sounds careful and sensible about what order to do things in so that is positive.
Good luck

It is horrible leaving them but both robin bd soli have had extended stays at the vets and both of them loved it and didn't want to come home!

Thank you :)
Our vet is lovely and I trust her so I have to go with what she thinks is best.
He goes in Tuesday and if he has the scope and bone scan he won't be home until Friday evening. Just hoping he doesn't sulk for too long because I've left him there and that we finally get some answers
