I've applied for tickets for the eventing XC and SJ day (couldn't afford the pure SJ!). I'm wondering if there will be lots of equestrian stalls etc.?? Will it have a "shopping village" type thing or not because of the lack of space.

Anyone else applied?

Yeah I applied for both of those as well. I couldn't believe how expensive some of the tickets were though - even £55 for the XC was pretty steep.

Hopefully there will be stalls, it would be a brilliant day out (if we get the tickets!).

I've applied for the XC and SJ and also one of the main SJ days.

I must be one of the only people who don't think the tickets are over priced, it is probably a once in a life time opportunity and as I have paid £60 for a ticket to see Take That for a 2 hour show I don't think £50 is bad at all for a day watching our country try to win a medal.

I can't wait!

Yes, I agree with you. People would think nothing of paying that to sit in a west end theatre for a couple of hours.

I've gone all out and applied for XC and SJ eventing, dressage team finals and SJ team finals. Luckily for me as i'll be in Colchester still then its only an hour on the train and then a few tube rides to get there each day, certainly couldn't afford to stay overnight there!
I doubt they'll have shopping but i really hope they do!

Anyone else going on their own like me?

I was going to apply for dressage, XC, and SJ, but was wondering about the ticket prices. It just says A, B, C, or D and I honestly have no idea what the types of tickets are (aside from expensive to less expensive). Can anyone enlighten me?

You just get a set XC ticket, ie. no A,B,C,D. I assume for the dressage and SJ it'll be the stadium seating - I guess A will be right at the front and D will be right at the back!

You have to be quick don't you? someone told me the closing date for apps but I can't recall when it was. I can't wait, I think it will do equestrianism in this country a lot of good, and despite the credit crunch I predict horse prices will go up after :D

There will be no stalls as it against Olympic rules.
You dont have to be quick Gugglegum as tickets are being randomly drawn after the closing date
