Anyone used these? I was thinking of some for the outside of my lorry as I don't want to use bailer twine

I have one outside my stable for when horse tied up there as worry sometimes about baler twine giving when it should (I tend to separate baler twine anyway into 2 strands in case!). Been very pleased with the Equitie.

I have some exactly the same as Equitie but they were cheaper- I was dubious at first of using it, but was impressed the other week when my horse pulled back and it released him straight away! purchased mine from Surrey Equestrian shop under £2 each.

I have to watch one of my horses though as he has a new trick- he loves to ping the elastic tie in his teeth when he's tied up.... not very clever!

I've got some Equi Ties but none of mine have pulled back yet so not sure if they are quick release, No help to you at all really

We use them all the time, for tying up on the yard and when they are in the trailer. Also carry one in my pocket out hacking as it enables you to tie up anywhere.

Much safer than bailer twine IMHO

Great if you have a horse that ties up quietly and only need a quick release for a real panic. If you have a pushy WB that likes to throw his weight around/tries to escape/is distract by other horses and tries to get to them etc then it's useless. I tiwll break far too easily and the horse will learn that being strong get's what it wants.

They do as they say, the only thing is that my horse has now learnt if he pulls back, they snap and he can make a speedy exit!

Has broken 3 in this manner now, so reverted to bale twine.

we used to have them on the college yard, i kept my pony there on half loan, and he went through about 10 of them, every time a new one was put up and somebody tied him up, he'd just snap them so i think they're useless!
