I am looking for a Back specialist who covers Essex. However, Im dubious about having someone who says they know what there doing when really they dont! Any suggestions would be great!

Same for teeth...I have had a guy called Alex who was good but charges £60 a time!

Thanks!

Hi,

I always used Chris Caden-Parker. She was really good, had an electronic diary on her and kept a note of the last time she had seen your horses, any problems areas etc, so knew what to check on and could see if the horse was working better since the previous meeting.

She also advised of stretching exercises which would benefit my mare, which could be done from the ground (and included a carrot as an incentive, so went down very well with my mare!).

This might help if you wish to contact her:

I use Gary Khakhian (http://www.the-horse-dentist.com/about_the_dentist.htm) for George's teeth and I have always been very happy with him, he also does most of our yard (10) when he comes so only works out about £45 for general check up /rasping.

For backs I also use Chris Caden-Parker and have found her to be very helpful /knowledable and comes highly recommended. She charges £15 for a check up and works out about £45 if something needs to be done.

I have just used Damien for the first time and will definitely be using him again. He did Mac and Bren and charged £35 each which I thought was very reasonable. He also had a look at another pony on the yard who is around 30 years old and said she didn't need anything doing and would look at her again in a couple of months. I was very impressed with him.

I second Chris Caden Parker - esp after she had to undo some work from a rogue 'specialist' I had tried first.
