Hi, does anyone have an opinion on the selleria equipe saddles? I currently ride in a childeric but they are getting some bad press for pinching and people I have talked to think they restrict the horses and put them in a bad position. I have also heard good and bad things about Devocoux so what does everything think? I see Emily King rides in one and they seem good. I see she has a double flap event one and it puts her in a very good position. I have also heard that some people who ride in Childerics want to move to a double flap for a better position. Please comment your opinion on the Equipe saddles. Thank you :)

My horse is a warm blood but he is quite fine and he is about a medium. I feel his childeric pinches him a bit and he was super last event season but this year he hasn't been great. A lot of stops since I got it so think it may be part of it. I have put a half pad underneath as someone I know said she had the same with her horse then she used a half pad and he was much better. I feel it is too wide so doesn't sit very well. :)

My daughter used to have an Equipe saddle, she really liked it, it's virtually a copy of an Amerigo but at a fraction of the price. She part exchanged it for a Devocoux eventually & has been using the Devocoux for a few years now & she feels very secure in it when jumping. Cash wise the Devocoux is considerably more money though. Both are good saddles but Devocoux is in another league but you'd haver you try them to see how you find them personally. You may find that you like one & not the other so try both if you can because it's a costly mistake if you buy the wrong one. :)

We have an equipe. My horses love it. One is very sensitive, and he chose this over an Amerigo. His way of going has really improved, and he's much more loose behind when he jumps.
