Erm..I got another horse..argh and another...whoops

It is heartwarming to read this - two lovely horses, one of them was extremely lucky to be in the right place at the right time!

Lovely story! Bless her... some kindness and love. Bet she hadn't felt that in some time. Thank goodness you came along.

Your big ginger boy is essentially my dream horse, I LOVE him!!! He's so stunning!
haha :D he really is such a dude :D I shall pass the compliments along ;)

Really love this thread. Wonderful, understanding horsemanship. You can have as many as you want... they'll all be the happier for it.

I very rarely log on but just had to reply. Wonderful story, your kindness and understanding has paid off. Tears in my eyes.
Well done and may you both have a great, productive happy future.

What an amazing achievement. Never ceases to amaze me what a lot of love, patience and time can achieve and how forgiving animals can be considereing what we humans can and some do, put them through.

Thank you so so so much, your comments really do mean so much, thank you!! xx

What a lovely story and she is so lucky to have made her way to you. I have a little charity mare, I've had her 3 years and know so little about her history (def neglect and she was v poorly before she came to me). We've had some bumps along the way with her backing but improving every day now and building her trust is the key. I can only hope to have the same bond as you and your girl.

Best of luck with your girlie, I hope everything turns out fabulous for you both :) I do find misty is always ready to not trust again if that makes sense so we always make sure we're calm around her and NEVER raise our voice (I stupidly growled at her once in the rush of getting ready for a show once and she wouldn't stand still to be plaited- felt awful..she looked terrified) and shes always allowed to walk on a loose lead rope...little things that seem to help her enjoy life and know it's all okay :)

Thank you. I'm soooo glad there are people like you out there.

Tuscanbunnygirl, I just cried!
She's gorgeous. A massive well done xx

Made me cry, what a beautiful outcome for both of you. What a superstar you are, wishing you both many years of fun and happiness x

Oh :') you're all so so so so lovely, thank you so much. xx

Me too. Lucky girl that someone thought enough of her to look into why. I'm assuming her scar tissue doesn't cause her any problems now?

Her scar tissue has never caused her issue with me as think it's a good couple of years old, but I think the mental side of it does still stay with her. There's no physical pain (she has a chiropractor every 4 months now) but to think how horrendous the tack must've been to cause it..makes my tummy go all squishy :( Very oddly...her past 2 owners never noticed it..it's very prominent..must get pics!! I know her last saddle was a medium wintec... :O she's so wide she's almost concave bless her!

Aw thank you so much :) Ahhhh well...don't want to throw the story around too much publicly but johnjohn wasn't in the best state either despite his flashy smart look, he was also on his way to trotting over rainbow bridge.. :(

Well done you :). Such a nice story, amazing what kindness can do and what a fab looking girly you have to prove it.
