If true, the stallion needs to be tranq. dart and removed to proper secure stallion facilities. Bill the owner.
Awful situation.
Awful situation.
As I've said she's been advised not too and it's impossible to get in-between the 3 of them when it's constant fighting and mating. Would you stand in front of a raging wild stallion like that? It's really dangerous! So, if the gelding is still alive in the morning remove him from the field, followed by the mare.
If he's shagging the mare, he's not fighting the stallion....As I've said she's been advised not too and it's impossible to get in-between the 3 of them when it's constant fighting and mating. Would you stand in front of a raging wild stallion like that? It's really dangerous!

She is hoping the right vet is available to do that tomorrow. They have been really helpful as they are very concerned for all the horses welfare. If true, the stallion needs to be tranq. dart and removed to proper secure stallion facilities. Bill the owner.

Whereabouts in the uk are you ? Wales
Great idea.If you are in Wales it might be worth contacting some of the Welsh rescue charities, they have the expertise and equipment to coral feral ponies and may even know a vet that can dart it.
I wouldn’t worry about this oneTo see how much damage staliion can do, it might be worth looking at https://forums.horseandhound.co.uk/threads/dangerous-stallion.832118/page-11#post-15394200
It's real...do people come on here and ask for advice on mad up situations? It's a small farm with inadequate fencing for stallions. There isn't a barn. The option to move them would be another field but he's already gone through 3 fields and fencesI don’t think this is for real.
I know a lot of farmers and they would be perfectly capable of dealing with something like this. Drive the mare and gelding into a barn for protection and then worry about the stallion.

God what a nightmare. I’m afraid if they were my horses I’d have tried to remove them by now.
The fate of the stallion would be the least of my worries.
If you really want help why not say where you are?As I said she's hoping the vet can tranquilize the stallion tomorrow..no one was available to do this today. Yes she probably could take the gelding out whilst the stallion is on the mare but the gelding will not leave the mates side and the 3 of them are kicking and rearing and fighting close by constantly. This is 48 hours later now.
If the stallions owner is unwilling to risk getting in-between the 3 of them I don't see why my friend should put herself at such great risk with an unknown stallion.
Obviously the first thing she wanted to do was remove her horses but if she takes the mare out the stallion with get over the fence to get to her..he's already gone through 3 fields and 3 lots of double fences

New poster as I couldn't log into my old account..don't have kids so not even aware that it's half term..
New poster, Half term in some areas. Just sayin'
.
Absolutely they do, yes.
.
Is there nowhere nearby with stables/a barn? With enough hands you should be able to lead your friends horses in there and shut the top door before the stallion breaks out again. (Bonus points if there's a race/crush you can run the stallion into when he does get thereIt's real...do people come on here and ask for advice on mad up situations? It's real and I was hoping for some advice to help my friend out of this awful situation. Also wanted to know if anyone knew where she stood legally in regards to getting this sorted and then dealing with the financial aftermath.
She had no idea the neighbours had allowed a stallion onto thier land. They have always had horses next door so they should of known better as well.
