Eurgh! Pestering Parent?

Florrie WOW ((())) sorry to read your news I hope that the police will deal with this person. It must be very worrying especially when you are away from home. Hope you are able to get your pony somewhere away from what appears to be a completely mad woman feel for any child related to her.

Hehe just for you guys I will post some of the most charming snippets ;)

"You are a selfish ***** you're not worthy to own horses"

"My daughter is heartbroken now and its ALL YOUR FAULT"

"We could give him a MUCH better home than what he has there"

"What are you doing with a 12.2 pony anyway you are in college (so I've been told) get a bigger horse!!!"

(I have 2 ex-racehorses ;)) Turns out said "friend" who I am now ignoring told her I'm in college and don't have time for the horses?!

"You must crush that small pony under your FAT A***"

"Ignore me then you ignorant ***** you made a little girl upset I hope your happy with yourself you lowlife!!!"

I haven't replied to any of these. I suppose her daughter is the "I must have it now" kind. Let's hope she doesn't contact me again.

Report this to the police ASAP.

Don't fanny about thinking 'should I shouldn't I'....do it.

OMG, just catching up from last night, it's quite scary the number of nutters out there. :( Florrie, if you need a hand with anything let me know. xx

Florrie, if my suggestion has not deterred her, then I think by the sounds of it that you do need some professional advice. I think if I read correctly you now have a crime number, if not your next port of call must be to report her to the police and get one. I think you need to know what else you can do too. Do you have a membership with a legal advice line, maybe with house insurance, car insurance - they often come with additional uninsured loss policies, motoring organisation membership, fancy bank accounts etc. They can be pretty useful and I've found you can phone them up for advice on all manner of things not just what your relevant membership relates to. Failing that you could try the half hour free consultation that many solicitors offer, or the citizens advice bureau.

It is difficult to know how else to help you, but I think this thread shows that you have plenty of support and maybe this in itself will help.

Just a thought....as well as all the above, can you ask your mobile provider of they can block the woman's number? And quite frankly I would now ask the police to pay a visit to said unstable vitriolic cow as you now greatly concerned about both yours and your ponies safety. Particularly as this woman has a record with the police of doing this.

I don't think mobile companies can block numbers... However even if they could, I would not get it blocked just yet, as nutter is bound to send more nasty texts, so it's more evidence.

I would be seriously tempted to get pony freeze marked as well, as it's a very big visible deterrent

Oh.

You poor poor thing.

I want to just run her over with my cob.

Firstly-Breathe.
Don't panic too much. You're moving ASAP,the police will be on to her soon.

Secondly - Dont doubt yourself. She is the one in need of serious medication, you have done nothing. Dont think twice about showing evidence, dont think twice about being pushy to the police. Be as pushy as possible.

Thirdly...Go and give your 'friend' a massive slap round the face.

BE STRONG :D

They very much can. Thank goodness. It's helped me get my life back on track. You used to be able to by yourself, but now just ring your provider.

However, i too would wait until enough evidence is collected. Make sure voicemails are 'saved' because they are erased on most phones after 1-2 weeks.

Good luck OP, sorry about your holiday :(

Even saved voice messages are deleted after a while, so better to record it onto your computer if possible. I know when a colleague left a particularly vile one on mine I managed to record it on my lappy, by putting my mobile on loud speaker...............made it very easy to send copies too.;):D

You poor thing! What an utter nut bag, I wonder how people manage to make it through life when the see the world in such a skewed fashion.

If I ever get a message like that, I think I will reply with 'sorry, think you have the wrong number, I don't own any horses'.

I hope she gets sorted out quick smart and taken off the streets!

AFAIK phone companies can block numbers if you have a crime ref regarding the harassment/threatening behaviour, Sadly it seems police are not able to stamp this pattern of behaviour out so she will probably just go and vent on some other poor unsuspecting horse owner! I really hope you manage to find a way out of this awful situation!

She sounds like she is a total nut job. Other way round, I had a pony on loan for my daughter, first few months were fine, no contact then the loaner totally latched onto us, I felt sorry for her and include her. She then started to dictate everything, we went on holiday and pony was suddenly so ill with some rare illness. She spoiled our holiday as we were worried sick as we got umpteen calls, texts etc. Cut long story short, she had munchaussens and when doc stopped listening to her she started munchaussens by proxy and pestered the vets no end. I gave pony back in the end, she was a total loony (certified)
I feel for you x

I can't believe the number of delusional nutters it appears that there are out there!!

How does anyone in their right mind believe they have the rights to another person's property - I'm astounded!

So pleased I have mine at home (and that they are 16.2hh - probably makes me a bit more immune!) and that I can be slightly scary when necessary!! :)

OP - are you back from hol and is everything ok at the yard?

Hello all! Sorry for not posting in a while its all been hectic the past day.
Been to the Police, they have taken evidence and are tracing her. They told me she is well known to Police around the area!

Pony is absolutely fine, I'm unsure about moving him as he stresses a lot when moved and threats. But I have not received anymore texts or threats so I hope this is the end of it.
He's happy as larry and I had words face to face with said "friend".

I can't believe how useless the police seem to be...
She's sold ponies that were on loan - ILLEGAL
She's harassed you and others - ILLEGAL
She's sent you and maybe others death threats - ILLEGAL
Amazing how she's still doing it and I imagine she hasn't even been punished yet!
Pretty sure that's a lack of duty of care... If anything were to happen and they are found out to already know about it, but not taken any action, they could be in serious trouble.

How disgusting is it that one person can make someone else feel like you are and get away with it!

Hope your pony is all well and fine when you return, and how the move goes ok.

Yawn!!

Has anyone ever explained the justice system to you......??? OP had heard!! (note heard) through the grapevine that this lady had done all these....She heard (again heard) that the fruit loop had gone to court and been let off with a measly fine and caution (Not police but JUDGE!!) The police can arrest but have no say over the punishment, this is down to our wonderful judicial system, but then this wouldn't be the same old HHO with out the 'police are useless' comments!!!

OP I wouldn't be in contact with this woman anymore, leave it to the authorities, she sounds an absolute nut job and goodness knows what she would stoop to. Your 'friend' would also be an EX friend if I were you.

Good luck on getting your boy settled and out of harms way. :(
