The last horse was fabulous and deserved his score although I must admit I was hoping he would make a couple of mistakes so Charlotte could get silver and Lottie bronze. It’s not all over till the freestyle on Sunday and we know both Charlottes excell in that .. it’s sure to be a good competition.. I’m really looking forward to watching

And one had him in 10 th, and that judge has marked some others much better than the other judges. the Trouble is that so many horses now have such a spectacular movement they get away with not being so correct in their way of going whereas Briolinca does a very correct test without being behind the vertical and shows a harmonious test which just doesn’t have the oomph of the flashy ones. Personally I prefer her way of going

I agree with you. There is too much emphasis put on flashy movement rather than being supple over the back and not being behind the vertical.

No coverage on The Guardian, either. :(

Is there anywhere to watch tests for free. I saw Carl's because a friend shared a link on FB.

...

I know it's not much, but it's free. The FEI channel on YouTube sometimes post a few good things, and from the dressage they've posted Charlotte Dujardin, and Carl Hester (ETA: From the team competition /ETA). I know you've already seen Carl, but I'll post both, in case someone else want to see him, too

However since @splashgirl45 also mentioned that team GB did well in the Para dressage, if anyone are interested in watching that, go to the FEI YouTube channel's LIVE page. Scroll down a little bit, to the videos which says RE-LIVE, and there's 7 videos from the individual Para dressage Grade I, and Grade II.
I tried copying and pasting links also to those videos, but HHO wouldn't let me.

This is the reply I received when I complained that they didn’t mention us winning the European Eventing recently:

Thanks for getting in touch regarding BBC sports coverage.

We know that not everyone will agree with our choices on which sports stories to cover or the order in which they appear. Our sports teams make these complex decision and we accept that not everyone will agree with each decision – various factors are at play and there’s often debate within the sports team too.

We aim to include a very wide and diverse range of sports across our programming, but space and time are limited meaning we cannot include everything. We have to try and select what are felt to be the most newsworthy and current items, but we appreciate this is subjective rather than an exact science.

Please be assured that we do value your feedback about this. All complaints are sent to senior management and we've included your points in our overnight report. These reports are among the most widely read sources of feedback in the company and ensure that your concerns have been seen by the right people quickly.

Thanks I've taken their 30 day free trial.

Make sure you cancel in plenty of time. I got bought a subscription a couple of years ago and didn’t cancel it till the day before it ended and they charged me for the next year which I really couldn’t afford so I e mailed them and told the truth that I was on a pension and couldn’t now afford to buy any coal for the winter and luckily they refunded it. My coal was £200 and I had already paid for it so their payment had made me overdrawn at the bank, I suppose it was a little lie as I had already paid for the coal but if I hadn’t got it back eating may have been difficult

So pleased I got a free trial and could watch the freestyle. I thoroughly enjoyed it, lots of lovely horses being ridden well. Yes, the occasional rider who I thought was a bit heavy handed at times with perhaps a little bit too much curb, but generally I found the competition comfortable to watch. It really was a toss up between Jessica and Lottie with less than 0.5% between them, CDJ 1% behind and a lot more to come from Imhotep. Carl rode sympathetically to bring Fame in 6th. Only one test score bothered me, a very difficult test which was fault free, on the music and exciting to watch but IMO achieved through very strong riding at times. I leave you to work out which. Anyone else watch?
