I have a lovely pair of Jeffries eventa reins but I'm struggling to get a decent grip with them, I can't find gloves that 'grip' with them. I had the Bio-grip reins before and they were brilliant but I'm reaching a bit of a breaking point with the eventa grips. Anyone got a pair of gloves that they have found work well with the eventa grip?

I have a pair of Eventa reins- fantastic until they get wet! I have some quite thick, old goat skin gloves that really do 'grip' them- but i cant remember who they were made by! may have been Chester Jeffries?

I do find, however, that the reins are far better when I use them on my stronger horse, as ride with them bridged over his neck.

I had some similar to the Eventa reins, and I was OK in the dry/damp with Mac Wet gloves and also Roekl Chester gloves - but totally hopeless when it was really raining. I'm the opposite way round though - I've swapped to Biogrips and am hoping my problems are solved!

the biogrips are fab imo

i have the eventa reins and they are fab, but found that certain gloves didnt work with them!! I use either woof gloves or the musto ones!

I use ariat gloves with them. Have tried a variety of makes which were hopeless. The ariats are good dry and wet and come in summer and winter weight.

How odd, I've not had any problems with grip with my eventa reins - but I only ever ride in Roeckl chester gloves. They grip fine

even in wet/sweaty horse conditions.
