My event last weekend was cancelled.

My clinic this weekend has been cancelled.

The event I re-routed to at the last minute after my clinic was cancelled..... has also been cancelled.

I am going to take up dressage or show jumping in desperation :(

seems that way. It's not the first year I've been relieved to do all my comps on a surface  only the bleddy snow scuppered my plans!

Deep breath! The world won’t end and it will eventually dry up.
No rush with a young inexperienced horse - I’ve already decided to set my horses debut back (with the bonus of just paying for a half season!).

Just be glad you aren’t trying to get a Badminton bound horse ready!!

But he is, he just doesn’t realise it yet :D (grass roots...in 2 years time...!!)

Eventing and hunter trials cancelled here too. The venues are doing OK. The parking, not so much!

Mind you, I dressaged in a snowstorm a few weeks ago. wonderful video - starts fine and then total whiteout. Think the judge was guessing. My horse spooked at the judge's windscreen wipers and then almost tripped over an invisible whiteboard hiding under the snow. It had been a nice morning and then Whoosh!

I feel sorry for all the eventers...! Does anyone know what the ground is like at Calmsden? I'm just wondering if the unaffiliated will go ahead as if not I'll change plans and take Indio to some dressage!

It is still awful here in Pays de la Loire, known for its mild climate. We are SJ and training has been very stop-go. I cannot believe we have horses stabled who should have been out a month ago. I have been telling myself for a month that it must end.

It’s very near me - I wouldn’t be hopeful to be honest, we have daily rain forecast for the next week, the ground is horrendous & heavy. I’m actually quite surprised they haven’t cancelled already to be honest (sorry to be so doom and gloom!)

March can often be wet. We never get going in Scotland till April. Just practice the separate elements on a surface. Our eventers are off to dressage this weekend.

Thank goodness for Poplar Park!! I have had two runs there at the BE and the riding club eventer trial, plus XC schooled there in Feb.
Really feel for everyone who has had multiple events cancelled. Can't believe this weather, I'm hoping and praying for it to dry up!!

That's what I was thinking. It's only 40 minutes from me and the forecast is miserable here. I just hope they decide early so I can make other plans!

I've just had my second event cancelled and got balloted out of one as well so really not feeling the luck this year! :(

I know it'll get going soon but getting really fed up of prepping, getting all psyched up and then getting 'THAT' text :'(

Seriously considering changing codes, one where surfaces are in abundance and you don't need to tame three disciplines for one day! :D :D
