Well on the 7th of April me and Tess are going out to our first proper outing in the box nothing big but a pleasure ride in Peterborough. We are going with a good friend of mine and her cob as well, he is only 4 and it will be his first trip out so should be exciting !
However Tess can be a pain in the bum out hacking if a strange horse approaches her at speed so it could be interesting
the starting time limit is 12pm so me and friend have decided to set off at 11:30 in the hope we will be towards the back and wont cause any of the speed demons any issues. I know Tess will settle after a few people have over taken but im a bit worried what i should do if she does start to jog on the side and become nervous i don't want any falls on our first day out.
We were just going to go for a relaxed day , pop the odd jump here and there and hopefully have a nice calm canter with little Cyril
Any tips will be welcomed regarding keeping myself and Tess calm if she starts to panic during the first few riders over taking us i certainly do not want to ruin it for anyone else having to deal with a tap dancing cob. Also the dress code is smartly turned out for both horse and rider so we were going to wiz all the feathers off and have a nice tidy clip seeing as she looks like a fluff ball at the moment but what should i wear ?
Thank you lovely people
