Hi all
winter is defentaily on its way! i have a mare on loan at a yard with only and outdoor school...BUT fab hacking :D and with the winter coming i would like to get her an exercise sheet.I really like the look of the newmarket felleces however there a bit out of my budget:o and i was also looking for a waterproof and fleecy one if ya' know what i mean!
p.s i dont mind paying the price if its wort it!
thank you:)

Another vote for the Mark Todd ones, they are flourescent, waterproof, fleece lines, "competition sheets" so they are not used under the saddle, they are fitted between the saddle flaps and they have a cut away shape where your stirrup goes.

The horse wear Newmarket sheets are fab, and you can get them cheaper if you shop around. I've got the chocolate one and lve it!

Buy yourself a proper Witney Newmarket wool quarter sheet, they are storm proof and breathable (I have thoroughly tested them on the Welsh mountains) My quarter sheets and day blankets have lasted me 20 years and I expect they will outlast me. They are not expensive.

A Melton would be my other choice for a quality sheet.

Ooo my favorite thing ~ exercise sheets ~ i love them.
I love the Whitney ones also ~especially the different coloured ones also~ i have a chocolate one which is gorgeous!
Definitely go for a competition sheet they are so much easier and you can wrap them round yourself in the really cold weather.

You can't beat a proper Witney blanket, as said above, it will fend off the worst of the weather, is super snug on a freezing day, and looks fantastic as well. I have one that is nearly 20 years old and it is still in great condition. Well worth the money.
