As above please just looking for some ideas of what to do in my schooling session this afternoon, want to work on the canter as much as I can, it's tonnes better but can get a little flat at times :)

Poles exercises etc.

All suggestions welcome :)

TIA

From my experience only ask from canter from a good trot, be happy with a few good strides then back to trot. Lots of transitions to get the house listening to you.
An exercise which improved my horses canter no end was to leg yield back to track them ask for canter, I am no expert these are just tips which helped me.

Ride a forward 20m circle, then turn onto a smaller (ideally 10ish m) using outside leg/aids & body/shoulders for the turn (not reins), use your body to sit tall and half halt (not using reins more than usual contact) and use the turn to collect the canter, ride forward out of it, repeat (try for 2 10m circles on each 20m)

My Intructor got me on to this with my lazy flat horse and it really helped.

ALso second Leg Yield (or SI) to transition, and go Straight LY Straight, Straight SI Straight as the canter gets stronger.
