That’s such a shame , but also lovely that you are putting her first . You have had so many great adventures with her.

What about getting your youngster backed ? He must be 4 next year ( or have I got my timelines wrong )
Felix is 3 next year. So a long way off really. Plus he's not going to suit me. I was looking to breed a more refined Amber so was using a TB eventing stallion. But she did not take and when I said that I was giving up, the vet he said 'let me use my stallion - no fee' who was a full class 1 RID. Explaining that once she'd been in foal, next time I could use a different stallion and she was much more likely to take. She took to his one first time and the following year I bred Mylo for me.

Felix will be sold in the new year and will help fund my next hose. He is lovely but he is bl00dy MASSIVE, built like tank, and I really don't want one that chunky, heavy and enormous! Plus he's a bit too laid back and I really like alert, sensitive horses! He'll make an amazing weight carrying hunter.

Hes maturing into a cracking sort, you will have no trouble at all selling him next year. How big is he ?

My 2yo IDX is around the 17hd mark already, hes blooming huge too.

Sorry to hear about Lottie. I really loved hearing your updates with her and following your journey was really interesting. I hope all goes well with the possible new home.

Felix is enormous 😂 looks like a great type though.

Felix is just my type ❤️ When you do come to sell him I'd love to hear more.
He's for sale now if the right person came along. But I'll be advertising him properly in the new year as it's a rubbish time of year to sell, and I assume he'll be worth more when he's rising 3. PM me if you;d like me to drop you a line when the ad goes up x

Well we finished in style with a lesson with Nicola Wilson. I just had the one in the end, as the other one was one I offered our other instructors after camp lessons finished, and what I was able to do, and what they wanted to do were poles apart. Somerford looked glorious with autumn trees coming out. I did not jump anything over 50: we worked on shifting gears in canter in open space to get me better at using my seat and body, and not water-skiiing behind a Yee-Haa Lottie. She felt mega! We also did dome ditch jumps, including the widest one there which she happily took in her stride. Bittersweet moment ending the lesson, but I feel happy in my decision. Which is good as her loan starts today! Thank-you for the memories Lottie. We've had a blast.
