extreme dog grooming!

As wierd as it is poor doggies, the artwork and skill is amazing! The koi carp one is incredible! And the collies face is priceless bless him :)
 
I actually went to an exhibition in January and i have to say every single dog there seemed to be loving it. All bright eyed and walking like they knew they were there to show off.

The seemed much happier and calmer than most dogs at conformation and agility shows i have seen.
 
Katielou, I'm glad you've said that. People never seem to believe me when I tell them that the majority of these dogs really do enjoy being creatively groomed. As most of these dogs are poodles, who have an incredibly high sense of self worth, they think that they SHOULD be primped and styled. I don't think many dogs look in the mirror after a good or bad hair cut and say "gee I do/don't like that". But they get the vibe off the people around them whether or not they look amazing - and that's what counts most, IMO.

And yes, the artistry is amazing. I've had a wee hand now and again at clipping shapes in to poodle hair, and it's so much harder than it looks. My hats are off to these people who do it with such skill. :)
