I have a fairfax drop bridle and love it. My horse has a large scar on his chest and I like the fact this would avoid that area completely. But it's ridiculously expensive and my friend says they are naff, lol. Any thoughts?

Bloody expensive
I’m a tight wad
One of their riders lent me one to try.
I then purchased and I love mine.

Do remember joking that my event horses breastplate cost more than his bargain eBay saddle though ?

i had one, briefly, and swapped from a normal elastic breastgirth. i only used it for flatwork but the horse was noticeably freer in his movement. I really wanted it to make no difference at all and I was really surprised. i wish I'd videoed it!
I did video the trial when I had a fairfax girth when they first came out and was convinced by what I saw objectively. i do think the stuff is worth the investment if you have a horse that they suit.

(horse retired a month later so I sold it - they hold value well).
