A friend recently brought a child's second pony from a dealer/ seller. After trying 2/3 times a full vetting all the usual pony was brought. First weekend with new pony and is found to be not quite the pony that was sold. In brief rears, bucks, napps and many more to list. One phone call to seller and "cant have him back till tues as have no room but, will collect him then and , obviously a full refund." Later found out said dealer who was selling on behalf of someone had told said someone this is not something i am willing to sell as a child's pony, i can not sell it on your behalf. There are still dealers out there with old school morals!!!

well actually a friend of mine recently bought a pony from a dealer and after a month shes realised its far too green for her and the dealer choked a bit but is taking it back and giving her a full refund . so definately rare but they are out there! x

Nice to hear some positive stories for a change, it's a shame dealers as a whole have such a bad name.

We bought our pony from a dealer. Tried 4, his kids rode first then my daughter, rode and jumped in school, hacked out, allowed us as much time as we liked to decide and delivered for cost of diesel. Would recommend without hesitation, though I haven't seen him advertising lately so I hope he wasn't too honest and went bust!!

We bought my husband's horse from a dealer. She wasn't even there when we tried him, just two 16yr old weekend girls, who couldn't get a bridle on him and were terrified of jumping him (big green 17h thing who jumped 3' over a 1' crosspole!). I liked the fact that we were left alone to play with him and make a decision (she knew I was an AI), offered a trial (didn't want it) and she came down on the price a lot as she thought we'd suit him. She was a lovely lady, and we had a good chat about the horses she brings over from Ireland sales, as I've always fancied going.

I bought my horse from a dealer who gave me a "warranty" she turned out to be unsuitable after 9 weeks and he came and took her back. I had tried her 3 times, jumped her, hacked her out, been left to tack her up on my own etc and had her vetted. He did not want to give me a refund but as I was looking for another horse he helped me find one, (she was there all along, I just hadn't noticed her). I would recommend them, they were helpful, friendly and professional.
