This is for the OP as the horse she is buying is Irish so will require his name on his Irish passport, all names are listed here

For British bred there is no central register as such so it will depend on who your horse will be passported with, or keep searching to see if the name you want is already in use.

LOL :). FWIW, I'm not a fan of Georgiliano - sounds either like a cheap perfume or a porno star ;). Really like the other two though (although Captain Fancy Pants is my favourite - for fairly obvious reasons - just depends on whether you want to be grown up and serious or a little whimsical and silly).

Another vote here for Captain Fancy Pants!! I sense there might be a few people fighting over that name if you don't use it! Lol! :D
 
Hi there,

I was just wondering how you got on with your captain clover x kannan, as I am looking at one in Ireland at the minute. She is a grey 5 year old mare. I have not seen this mare in the flesh but she will be at goresbridge and I love the breeding of her.

Oh Crikey!! I didn't realise this thread was still alive...

Well, for various reasons we didn't buy him in the end...but I know the person who did buy him and that hes getting on really well as a hunter (/jumper on the side)
..And I think they just call him George.

:)
