The one that caused a stir? lol Yes, so fascinating. It's so scary how much we *think* we know about horses but if we stop and listen to them they say something completely different and run off happy as Larry!
Not sure what the issue is Sez. It's an amazing opportunity for the rehab of the horse and the education of the owner.
Did you get reasons for it?
I don't see how this is really any different from folks announcing/informing say that Lidl have cheap rugs in.
In any case I think we've probably publicised it well enough for Nic and she has a fair number of applicants for the scholarship.
Steady on now!Nic has helped me to accept and understand my deviations.
Just goes to show how a farrier or trimmer might just dive in there and make huge changes to that hoof without understanding why that deviation is there in the first place and what it does for the hoof.

He sounds very sensible indeed! My farrier was talking about this only the other day. He told me he often gets people presenting eg. pigeon toed horses, and asking him if he can correct it, and he tells them he could, or he can leave it sound. very sensible chap he is.
That is what my remedial farrier said when he first saw my mare a few years ago - he said she was very very slightly pigeon toed, but that her previous farrier had been trying to force her hoof into the "correct" position. She was much more comfortable when her feet were allowed to grow the way they wanted to. She's unshod now though. My farrier was talking about this only the other day.
