On the theme of fav horsey films/ characters- what was your favourite horsey tv show as a kid?

I liked:

Chatterhappy Ponies

The Silver Brumby
 
Oh i forgot If Wishes Were Horses-used to love that & can remember the gymkhanah espisode.

Also the theme tune was the most catchy thing ever!
 
Horses Galore. Can still remember the theme tune. I used to write in regularly!

And The Moon Stallion. Not quite a horsey programme but enough of a horse in there to make me watch it!

Black Beauty. Flambards.
 
White Horses :) My cousin had the 7" single of the theme song. I love the song and for some reason it makes me want to cry. I must be getting sentimental in my old age.
 
Ahhhwwww.... yes, "White Horses". I DO remember that, plus the theme tune which was very catchy and I can still remember it now all these years later.

It made every little girl want a grey pony: and I actually got my dream!!! :) - had a lovely grey who was the answer to my prayers and was a lovely person as well as a true friend and I loved him to bits.

Also remember Follyfoot; plus the books.

Watched Black Beauty, and again loved the theme tune, but thought the actual series was tripe! It certainly had nothing to do with the book of the same title whatsoever, but a lovely horse (or perhaps more accurately horses, which would no doubt have been used), I remember that.
 
I think I watched anything with horses on...including the racing! used to drive my mum insane!

Was follyfoot the farm one? As I mentioned I used to watch Dogtanian becuase I wanted Sandy! and I wanted Uni from Dungeons & Dragons...meeeehhhhh!!!!
 
You have got me thinking now about all the millions of books I read as a youngster - I cannot think of the names of any now! how frustrating!

I remember that one!! I had the annual one year, kept it forever. Lost it during a house move :(


White Horses, Champion The Wonder Horse, and Black Beauty were TV must-sees when I was a kid!
 
Was it chatterhappy ponies where the horses spoke and went out on adventures? I remember one episode where they were hacking out and one of them cut its leg on a log they jumped and i cried!! lol x

My mum asked me why i was crying and i said my sister had hit me because i didnt want to admit crying to a tv programme! haha must of been about 7! :D
