Feeding a horse that is sharing crap pasture?

Hi

Any tips on how I can feed a horse that isn't on good pasture 24/7 and shares with 5 other horses?

I can't afford to feed all 5 so can't really leave hay out. At the moment I have been going every day and taking her out of the field to feed pony nuts and hay. She isn't doing any work at the moment but is this enough? Most horses that don't have pasture have unlimited hay but I can't do that.

What condition is she in? Does she actually need to gain weight?

My horses are out 24/7 at the moment and are fed in the field when the other one is being worked. This probably isn't an option for you though if there's 5 others!

If the field is bad it will be bad for all the horses so can't you get together with their owners and share the cost of haying them all.
