Hoping for some advice please... I have a 17hh rising 8 yrs old Dutch Warmblood who does not gain weight easily. I have even been asked if he is an ex-racehorse as he's so tucked up behind and has poor top line and quarters. He scoped clear for gastric ulcers and vet thinks he may have mild hindgut issues but not worth investigating more as he's bright and well in himself. After researching I've replaced haylage with hay and he has Thunderbrook meadow nuts, Pink Mash, Copra Coolstance and micronised linseed. He's very fussy and wouldn't eat TB base mix or Condition & Compete. I've read not to feed alfalfa, beet and molasses and just found out soya is not great (soya hulls in Pink Mash so I won't be buying that again). Any suggestions for something high-fibre that's natural I can add? He prefers a mash consistency so I considered bran but I understand that's not without problems either!
