fed up of lurking so much so thought i'd share a few pics and a short video, this is my 14.2 21yr old pony, we pretty much take part in everything, ht/hunting over the winter and bit of showing and sj during the summer, been out loads this yr and after spending much of last yr recovering from lami now just make the most of him, he loves his job and been placed at every show this yr!!! so v proud of him!
any cc welcome (position and his condition) video was from oct (i do appear over the hedge) we came 6th out of about 60 and was 3 secs to slow but pace was set by ptp horses so was pleased anyway seeing as he's only 14'2!

hopefully the vid will work!!!

He certainly looks good for his age you wouldn't believe it if you wasn't told. And he looks very brave over the fences you have a nice position on him.

In the first and last picture though he is looking very tucked in and slightly over bent rather then working correctly. Id on't know if you have picked up on this and it can take a while to get it sorted but start off by when he tucks his head in keep him moving forward. Yielding with your reins occasionally helps aswell so when he does tuck in just give the rein for half a second and take it back, that way he has nothing to tuck in to.

Hope this helps and best of luck with him :)

ahhh what a sweetie :) I actually don't really have any CC to give except I wouldn't clip a lead rope onto his bit to tie up to. Seen a few horrid accidents where horses have pulled back and damaged their mouths! Other than that he's looking good for 21, you should be pleased.

p.s. I'm not a fluffy bunnnyyy, I promise! I genuinly think they look good :) lol

OMG I can't believe he is 21!! He looks amazing, absolutely gorgeous horse :)

More piccys please!! :D

(PS. Please don't take this the wrong way but it's not a good idea to tie up with the rope clipped to the bit, it can cause serious injury if he were to get spooked and pull back.)

Oops sorry, someone beat me to it ^^^^^

ohh yea that was only b'cos i wanted a pic of him plaited (but without the headcoller on) and he kept trying to walk off!!! and no one else was on the yard to hold him, i would never normally honest!!!
and thanks for comments, regarding him being over bent it is something im aware of and he only does it in his kimblewick, i need the curb for brakes in fileds or jumping so in his snaffle he isnt so bad :)
so pleased he got good comments im always been a bit worried about putting pics on!
thanks :)

thanks roodolph
took a long time to work him out! he never was the easiest pony!
1st time i rode him i deemed him as dangerouse and vowed never to get on him again! he was 15 and bucked vertical down the road and tried attacking a motorbike and bolted down a track after jumping a river! then his owner asked me if i wanted to start exercising him again for her the following yr and after seeing him jumping with her son i just thought wow, and seemed to gel really well, i'd trust him with my life, she'd had him for yrs and he'd often chuck off new riders! she would never sell him so ive loaned him since then, ive never had a braver horse when it comes to jumping, the scarier it is the more he takes it on!
