I have an extremely fussy horse! He would rather starve himself than eat what's available. He's currently on Baileys Endurance Mix, Spearmint outshine, lo-cal balancer and some other supplements. Been going back and forward with Baileys nutrionists to try and find ways to get him to eat the damn stuff. They suggested Fenugreek - which from what I can gather, is used in curries, and is an appetite stimulator. Managed to find some in Waitrose, had a whiff and blimey it's strong!
They've also suggested cinnamon and spearmint oil. If he likes these 3 things, my plan is to rotate them in his meals. AM: mint, PM: fenugreek, Dinner: cinnamon!
Has anyone used this, and if so, how much did you use, and did it work? And did your horse get "Ring of Fire"?!?!?!
Oh, and does anyone know where to buy spearmint oil from?
