Morton's neuroma is the latest diagnosis of my ongoing foot problem, made worse when I ride. I have yet another appoinment with my slimy podiatrist next week, to discuss it further, but was wondering if anyone here has any recommendations for better footwear?
Apparently narrow shoes can set it off (not me, I don't wear girly shoes) and over-pronation. Well, I've had custom made orthotics for 8 months, now and they haven't worked! Next step (I'm assuming) is metatarsal pads being added to them or cut my foot off.
My jodphur boots are quite bad for it I've now realised (I'm wearing them today, with regular orthotics, as my custom ones move around too much - they're like cuttle fish!).
So any ideas? Is it home surgery for me? Bareback riding (or no stirrups, in which case I'll look even more stupid on my 12hh pony) or shall I visit hyperdrug and spend the rest of my life high on analgesics?
