With the recent strong winds I'm thinking about buying a camera to monitor the field when I'm not at the yard. Does anyone have recommendations or experience of using them?

Reolink Go 4g - comes with solar panel - runs on a £4 a month smart sim - can watch on your phone and computer - think it was £160 ish from Amazon. This is the fixed one, they also do a pan and tilt on the next money bracket up. It does reduce your productivity tho !

We recently bought a Reolink and am impressed so far. Excellent image quality. I have been able to check on my guys in the wind, as well as keep an eye on my box resting youngster and my older horse after he had colic.
We bought the 360 pan tilt version with solar panel as we have no electricity up there.

Thank you. I have the Reolink Go in my stable but was thinking the Go PT may be better for the field. Your feedback is very useful ?

Yes mine too. Would not like to be without mine now. I only have the go but it works well and reolink customer service is good.

The PT is certainly handy over a wider area. Mine means I can spy on my stables and yard where 2 are, plus arena/hard standing where the other 2 are turned out in winter as well as gate access and car parking area all using the same one.

I think were I to ever buy another I would go for the P and T. The go is good but it would be nice to have a wider view.

I have the pan and tilt. It normally watches the gate and has alerts set up for intruders but it's great for checking the fields.
