I say finally as up until now I haven't had a project on the go since last August. Usually I sell one and then reinvest a little in to another straight away but for one reason or another I didn't last year. Clearly I subconciousnessly knew the winter was going to be dire! Moving on, this is Bracken. She is out of the same dam as the forest pony I event although is 2 years older (9) and has lived her entire life as a feral forest pony and as such is completely unhandled
I was saying to her owner a little while ago that I wanted another project and so we decided that as she hasn't had any foals whilst she's been out she may as well come in and do some work! Of course this meant we had to catch her first (there's more about that on my blog). The short version is she is now in a stable munching away on hay blissfully unaware that tomorrow will be the very start of what I hope will be a sucessful ridden career. The aim is to have her under saddle and competing at the breed show in August though of course we will go at her pace and will take everything as slowly as necessary. Can't wait to have a little session with her tomorrow!
