Finding selling very hard!

A friend of mine is desperate to find a 14.2+ mare to be a hack and companion to broodmare and escort other babies on their first hacks out. It's a genuine home for life, but she's short of purchase cash due to insurance not paying out on her horse that was PTS late last year. It's her own yard, she has 6 others an never ever sells on. In fact out of the 6 she has only 2 are ridden (due to age, injury quirkiness etc) yet none of them will ever go anywhere.

If this is the kind of home you're looking for and you have something suitable please PM me, it would be very much appreciated. :)

You could try Equine adverts, it's only about £2.99 to advertise

I was going to suggest Equine Adverts too, I had a huge response off there when I posted an advert. The horse exchange is a good one too though I'm not sure how much it is to advertise - I really like the style of the adverts there.

Haven't read through all the replies sorry, but a good photo and well written advert can make a huge difference, especially when the market is so flooded. You may have already done this but just a suggestion. Make sure you have really good, well lit photos with the horses clean and looking their best doing whatever it is you're selling them for. I always bath and put a bridle or smart headcollar on and pray for a bit of sunshine to take a few good conformation shots. Then get a few on the flat and jumping if necessary.

I think a lot of people can find themselves in this sort of situation... I've been mooching around and adding the 'keep' costs monthly for another would not be a problem at all... Saving though - pah... It just doesn't happen... :o The kids or horses need something or the vet fund needs replenishing...
