First dressage today

Today i did my first dressage with my pony and he was super-de-dooper! I did intro b and got 56.5 (for my first time its not bad, and it was ponys first time in an indoor school) and won! couldnt believe it, he got some carrots for that. Then i did prelim 7 and only got 52.5 but he was still a star and considering it was our first dressage i couldnt be happier.

One of the things i got marked down on was not having a bend, anyone got any tips on creating a bend ( he is quite a stubborn pony so it will take a lot to get him to do what you want him to do) without using draw reins etc...

Are you talking about neck bend rather than getting the horse to bend around your leg? If you are this may be useful, it may look a little over complicated, but it's quite simple really as long as you have a nice willing horse
