Hey fellow broken people! How are you all doin?
Just an update on my broken upper arm. I rode today for the first time in eight weeks. It went really well! Last time I saw the bone doctor I was told I could ride after ten weeks but got my dates mixed up so went today.
I wasn't nervous once I was riding and even managed some decent and soft contact on the right rein - getting on and off was a different matter though.
I originally did myself in by falling off while trying to mount (I know - ha ha) so mounting felt a bit weird. And I had to get off in a rather odd way by swinging my leg over the boy's head and sliding down off the side.
Horses make good slides btw!
However, after my ride I went to fracture clinic. I saw a new doctor and he said I was doing really well healingwise. But then he said I wasn't allowed to ride until after Christmas! What a bummer.
Do you think I should call them back and ask for clarification? I don't wanna wait six more weeks. Today was so much fun and cheered me up loads (we lost our lovely little cat on tues), and I needed cheering up.
Bloomin' bones!
