Had an excellent lesson this morning, not a lot of learning done particularly, but another good session in the bank with Q, who had to deal with 2 other horses entering the arena and just get on with his work. Starting to feel like we are on an upward spiral now at last :D He will probably always be a bit neurotic but he's letting me ride him forward now when he gets in a tangle and when he relaxes in his body it's lovely. I just have to remember to not allow him to have an opinion and always make sure i get the first word, then he toddles along feeling secure. it's such a different ride to Kira, mentally, if anyone spoke first it was her and she had to be allowed to have her little thought before we would continue, haha.

Hack round the block for Bon. From piaffing at buses and walking sheltered from traffic by another horse he now hacks up front down a main road in to Manchester, saw 5 buses without melting and is generally A Very Good Boy.
Charlie went to smallwood for a school round before I book my first 2022 event. He loves it there, passaged his way round the first part of our working in ?? jumped all the middle 80/big 90 stuff and generally had a ball. Huge smile on my face after that

Another schooling session with Foinavon today. He is better and better every day we go into the school (with the exception of the time when the wind blew a jump standard onto his a*rse!). He was maintaining a steadier rhythm in trot, and becoming far more consistent at maintaining a nice, soft contact. He's really starting to get it. He's such an intelligent pony -- I still can't believe someone thought he was "slow to process things." As soon as he understands what you want, he does it, and the lessons stick. Way easier than the 3-year old, who sometimes has the memory of a goldfish.

Does he pop into The Royal Exchange and catch a play while he's there ? ?

Sounds like great progress from a fellow spotty,.
.
? we don't quite go all the way to the city centre. Urban life is a big change from where he was though
