Bradoon sitting above curb, bradoon just wrinkling the lips as a normal snaffle should, curb sitting just below it.
well, that's how i was taught it! *prepares to be corrected*
I am sitting here with double bridle in hand, as likewise have baby brain without looking.
The cheekpiece that is part of the main headpiece has the "curb" bit, then the the cheekpice on mine that fits under the headpiece has the snaffle bit. So the Snaffle bit lies behind the curb bit. Does this make sense??
yep, that's right. the curb bit is on the extra headpiece, and the snaffle hangs (and sits in the horse's mouth) slightly above the curb.
Nooo, this is wrong, see my next post! OOOOoooops.
EEEk, no, siennamiller, you've got it right.. just gone and checked, the curb goes on the headpiece cheekpieces, the snaffle goes on the extra headslip. Ooops. sorry!
lol! So if I am standing with the bridle in my hand with the noseband pointing left ( as if I am on the near side) then the snaffle should be on the right?
Then whilst off the horse the point of the snaffle should be hanging down about 1 inch below the curb?
Thanks
