Has anyone seen this before? I noticed my gelding had skin peeling off in his nostrils and corners of his mouth this morning, when I tried to clean him up there was a little bit of blood. He also has some small bumps under the skin on his neck. He seems well in himself with a little nasal discharge.
When I spoke to the vet he was concerned about strangles, although my horse has not been in contact with any horses that have travelled and he has not been anywhere himself. I wondered if he could have eaten something that would have caused this reaction?
Any ideas?
